How do you get the right content to reach the right audience at the right time, year-round? We are now looking for an experienced developer with an interest in AI and data algorithms who wants to help create the tools that assist our colleagues in planning, acquiring, and publishing content on SVT Play that reaches millions of viewers. At SVT, you will be part of developing solutions that enable one of our most important missions: to make relevant content accessible to everyone. This is what you will do with us

You will be part of a team that develops internal tools for planning and content optimization, solutions used by program managers and editorial teams to plan SVT Play's content flow. What you build here directly affects how we plan and optimize the content flow to maximize impact over time, with metadata, analytics, and AI at its core.

With us, you will work in a full-stack role – with a focus on backend – where you are involved from idea to code to production.

Your team and workplace

You belong to the Commissioning Support team and work alongside other developers, analysts, POs, and editors. The team has significant technical expertise, but also a shared drive to understand users and work with both impact and delivery.

We are located in the SVT building at Gärdet in Stockholm and work hybrid based on what suits the team and collaboration best, currently 3 days a week in the office.

More about you

We are looking for someone with extensive experience as a developer, preferably with a focus on backend but with a holistic view of all parts of the stack – including DevOps, CI/CD, and Kubernetes. You have likely worked with technologies such as Next.js, React, TypeScript, Spring Boot, and Java/Kotlin, but most importantly, you are confident in your technical foundation and enjoy solving problems together. It is a merit if you have an engineering degree or equivalent academic background.

AI and data analysis play an important role in both what we build and how we build it. Therefore, we are looking for someone with experience in analytics, algorithms, and machine learning, who uses AI tools in their coding. Perhaps you are already working today with tools like Claude Code and Cursor (or something else!), we have an experimental culture where we encourage testing new tools. You have a positive attitude, enjoy sharing knowledge, and appreciate working in a team with diverse perspectives and competencies.

Since many of our users speak Swedish, you need to be able to communicate fluently in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
